Start of the nautical season in Torroella de Montgrà and l'Estartit

The nautical season has already started! Since a few weeks ago the companies dedicated to nautical recreational activities have already started their activity.
As usual, different schools and groups have chosen our destination to spend a few days, either in a school camp or in a corporate team building. Slowly but surely, the tourist season is getting underway, and families are starting to show their interest in the different activities on offer.
Our environment is unbeatable for the practice of water sports and any activity related to the knowledge and interpretation of the underwater world and the Natural Park of MontgrÃ, Illes Medes and Baix Ter. This fact makes it a destination chosen every year by both groups and individuals to spend a holiday enjoying the sun, the sea and the wonderful natural environment that surrounds us.
An experience to be repeated!
Torroella de Montgrà and l'Estartit launch the sonso gastronomy days
In Torroella de Montgrà and l’Estartit from May 15 to June 15, 2024
This year Torroella de Montgrà and l’Estartit have embarked on the creation of a new Gastronomic Festival that revolves around an emblematic Mediterranean fish: the sonso.
On the coasts of l’Estartit, the fishing of the sonso is carried out by local fishermen using traditional techniques, and the municipality wanted to highlight this tradition by dedicating not only the Gastronomic Days to it, but also a whole weekend with activities focused especially on its recognition. The Sonso Weekend was held on 17, 18 and 19 May.
Fourteen restaurants in the municipality are taking part in these special Gastronomic Days, all of them offering a wide variety of dishes. We can find dishes prepared with traditional recipes and others that have been given a little twist to make them more innovative.
